3:55 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has 33 Operators at launch, usable in Multiplayer and DMZ: five are free from the start, eight come from finishing campaign missions, four from DMZ levels, five from Multiplayer challenges, nine from the pre-order bonus and the Vault Edition, one from the paid C.O.D.E. Valor Pack, and one, Ju Kwon, is still "[CLASSIFIED]". For the first time each loadout carries its own Operator, picked at the top of the loadout in Create-a-Class, per Infinity Ward's Create-a-Class blog (Oct 19, 2026). Campaign Operators

Eight of the 16 campaign rewards are Base Operators, and every campaign reward is usable in Multiplayer and DMZ from the Oct 23 launch. Activision's reward list gives them for these missions: Cho for Mayhem, Dallas for Hired Gun, Luca for Traffic, Oh-Ji for Assassins, Kal for Stranded, Dunn for Counter Attack, West for Entrenched and Park for Greater Good. Game Rant's reward list (Oct 19, 2026) matches it, and notes that the rewards are the same on any difficulty. The Create-a-Class blog ties a few of these Operators to other missions (Kal to Defection, West to Losing Ground, Park to Decapitation); Vi.ki follows the reward list. DMZ and challenge Operators

Four Operators unlock by playing DMZ: Reece at DMZ Level 4, Coffey at 9, Simone at 15 and Hector at 19. DMZ has its own 70-level track (see DMZ Progression and Forward Operating Base). Five more come from Multiplayer challenges: Blackwell for three kills without dying ten times, Jae for 50 hipfire kills, Velikan for 15 Double Kills or better, Valen for 20 Longshot kills and Zimo for 50 headshot kills, per the same blog. Reece also has the "Dread Tiger" skin from the beta rewards and the "Sable" skin at Prestige 9.

Vault Edition and pre-order Operators

0:04 The Vault Edition adds two packs. The Hostile Alliance Operator Pack has Price, Valeria, Ghost and Blix, with masked and unmasked skins for Price and Valeria. The Special Forces Operator Pack has four Operators who each wear their country's kit and speak their own language: SAS (United Kingdom), South Korean Special Forces, KSK Amphibious (Germany) and the French Operator, written "COM FST" in the Oct 19 launch blog and "COM SFT" in the editions blog. Hunter Killer comes with any digital pre-order and was usable at once in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, then in Modern Warfare 4 at launch. Prices and upgrades are on Editions and Pre-order Bonuses. The clip is the official Vault Edition trailer, which names the Valeria, Blix, Ghost and South Korean Special Forces Operator skins and ends on the Hunter Killer skin.

Paid bundles and the Aston Martin

0:58 The only Operator bundle on sale at launch is the C.O.D.E. Valor Pack, made with Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter, with all of Activision's net proceeds going to the Call of Duty Endowment. The launch post lists a "Valor" Operator and a "Relentless" Operator Skin in it, along with weapon Blueprints, cosmetics and an hour each of Double XP and Double Weapon XP; the Create-a-Class blog names the Operator Kyle. USAA gives the pack free to US service members and veterans while supplies last. The Aston Martin Dreadnought, often mentioned with launch cosmetics, is not an Operator: it is an armored V12 SUV vehicle found at key points of interest in DMZ and Warzone. BlackCell's exclusive Operator arrives with the Season 1 Battle Pass (Battle Pass and BlackCell). The clip is from Forged in Valor Ep. 1, the Call of Duty Endowment's film about Kyle Carpenter.

Operators in Warzone

From Season 1, Warzone joins the Modern Warfare 4 era. Operators and skins from Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 carry forward, and a new Warzone-only setting, off by default, shows other players' older Operators as Modern Warfare 4 Operators on your screen.
