Mission 10: Stranded

Stranded is Modern Warfare 4's tenth mission and its only open mission: Park's squad, stuck in snowy North Korea, takes out a Jamming Station, a SAM Site and a bunker in any order, gathering supplies from 26 Yellow Supply Crates to repair gear at Base Camp. It holds 58 of the game's 64 notes and four trophies, and finishing it gives the "Kal" Base Operator.

Spoilers for Mission 10 follow.

Stranded is mission 10 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and the campaign's only open mission: you play Park, stranded with his squad "in a snowy and mountainous setting in Korea," and do three main objectives in any order (the Jamming Station, the SAM Site and a bunker), fast traveling between them, while 26 Yellow Supply Crates and supply bags feed the repairs at Base Camp. It follows Mission 9: Survivors and leads into Mission 11: Defection. GamesRadar+ says it "will be in 'best campaign mission' debates for years." Finishing it gives the "Kal" Base Operator. The clip is Activision's first look at Stranded: snowy outposts, a firefight and a helicopter over the mountains.

Setting and how it plays

You drop in "with nothing but a pistol" and build an arsenal exploring the North Korean countryside (GamesRadar+, Oct 16, 2026). PC Gamer calls it a "multi-hour mission" with three non-linear objectives, side activities and a hideout where you craft better armor, guns and camouflage, "almost like playing a micro Far Cry." Supplies come from bags and from sealed shipping containers with combination locks; you bring them back to the squad to repair suppressed weapons, craft lethal equipment or call a mortar strike (GameSpot). In the clip, from Gamer's Little Playground's playthrough, the squad shows Park a mortar launcher to repair and hands him a backpack for an extra weapon.

Stranded saves its progress separately from the rest of the campaign (Kotaku, Oct 20, 2026). Insider Gaming says it can be condensed to 30 to 60 minutes and that it introduces ideas from DMZ, the game's extraction mode (see DMZ). There is no time limit, per PowerPyx.

Objectives in order

TheGamer lists five objectives; the first three can be done in any order:

  1. Disable the Jamming Station
  2. Destroy the SAM Site
  3. Secure Explosives in the Bunker
  4. Send Out Reinforcements as Ko
  5. Leave for Airbase

Explore before you finish the third main objective: KeenGamer advises clearing the map first, and mission select lets you return later anyway (PowerPyx). In IGN's clip, choosing to find your own path rather than fast traveling is what lets you collect everything.

Walkthrough

Base Camp first. Start by looting the area around Base Camp and the radio tower beside it (PowerPyx), then spend the supplies on repairs (below).

Disable the Jamming Station. The station has helipads and a main building. During this objective you unlock Bomb Drones at the Drone Control Pad, and green Drone Chests around the map give more (Game Rant, Oct 19, 2026). Save the drones for the SAM Site.

Destroy the SAM Site. The SAM Site sits by a big statue (PowerPyx). Enemy reinforcements arrive in vehicles; destroying all of them before they unload earns Incoming!. Game Rant says each vehicle needs one drone and the final BMP two, at least eight drones in all; PowerPyx counts eight trucks and a tank that takes two hits. If any infantry get out, reload the checkpoint. The Vulkan sniper rifle is picked up here, near Crate 26. The clip shows the squad holding the statue while charges go on the SAM sites, until the first vehicles arrive.

Secure explosives in the bunker. The bunker has a pump control room and a flooded room that needs three explosives (PowerPyx).

Send out reinforcements as Ko, then leave for the airbase. Control briefly passes to Ko before the squad sets off for the airbase and Mission 11: Defection.

Base Camp repairs

PowerPyx lists twelve repairs costing 195 supplies in all. Repairing everything earns Scavenger, and the last notes (58 to 62) come from upgrading and repairing here. In the clip a squadmate back at camp says he fixed the sniper rifle, which "can kill a tank."

Repair Supplies
Mortar 30
Scoped LMG 30
Silenced AR 25
Tactical Boots 20
Silenced Thermal Sniper 20
Snow Ghillie Suit 15
Tactical Gloves 15
Grenade Launcher 15
Silencer for Vulcan Sniper Rifle 10
Semtex 5
Pistol Underbarrel Shotgun 5
Molotov 5

Supply crates and codes

Game Rant counts 20 Yellow Supply Crates on the map and 6 more inside locked containers and bunkers; more crates appear as you clear Outposts and gather Intel. Two need care: Crate 9 rides a moving train (jump on as it passes) and Crate 23 sits in a moving truck at the northeast outpost (fast travel away and back if it does not appear) (PowerPyx). Two puzzles guard crates: a sewer tunnel where arrow signs show the safe way past traps, and a trapped building where you throw an explosive inside first. IGN's clip climbs a water tower for crate 8, then waits there for the train that carries crate 9.

Location Code
Base Camp container 0024
Cliff near Base Camp container 0600
Big Sign container 1234
Small Island container 6789
South of Jamming Station container 8609
Southeast Village container 0078
Farm Field bunker 0330
Northwest Island bunker 0008

Choices

When Ko reports to Ri Ju-Young, Game Rant lists three answers: "You killed him, Supreme Leader." (Ko is killed), "I didn't leave his side..." (Ri kills him) and "I separated us. I never should have left him." (the right answer: Ri tells him not to fail his next mission). KeenGamer says Cho dies of his wounds at the safehouse and that the mission ends with the squad slipping into an airfield hangar disguised in an enemy truck.
